Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
~'Umbrella', Rihanna

The umbrella was tight in his grip. One glance up at the dark gray clouds that were beginning to gather in the sky above, told him it wouldn’t be long before the downpour. The air was warm as it should be on a nice spring day, except the weather seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. He shuffled a few steps forward.

“Yoochun…”

A sigh was the only indication the other heard his call, “Look, we should go somewhere with shelter before it rains, Yoochun,” he coaxed softly towards the figure standing in front of the duck pond with his back to him, “…how about the movies, or the café, I know a place that sells great tiramisu…”

He trailed off when the first drops of rain fell. He opened a palm and tried to catch the cool droplets in his hand. With one last glance at the darkening sky, he moved forward and opened the umbrella.

“Junsu… is love always this painful?”

He paused in moving the umbrella above their heads. One look at Yoochun and he closed the umbrella once more. Lifting his own head towards the sky, Junsu felt the droplets hit his cheeks and roll down his face. Perhaps it really was easier to cry in the rain.

“I don’t know, Yoochun, but at least you told her how you feel, at least she knows, and at least you know how she feels. I think what’s more painful is not knowing how the one you like really feels about you.”

“You speak like you have experienced it,” Yoochun frowned at him.

Biting back an awkward laugh, Junsu coughed slightly, “Uh, maybe one too many sappy dramas?”

Yoochun glanced back out to the pond. The park was quiet today, and Junsu wouldn’t put it past children to be at home or at least, somewhere dry and sheltered, as school had long since finished for the day and adults should still be stuck at work. Junsu thought it had been wise to call in sick for the day because he’d hate to find Yoochun still standing here when he gets off work at nine tonight.

Junsu sighed and reached over to clap him on the back, “There’s still plenty of nice fish the sea. Or ducks in the pond,” His stomach growled, “….er and plenty of cakes at the café?”

Hearing Yoochun laugh, made Junsu’s heart feel a lot less heavy, despite the rain making his shirt stick uncomfortably to him and his hair, which took him approximately an hour to style that morning, droop slightly at the ends. If Yoochun could still laugh despite unsuccessfully proposing to his ex-girlfriend, then Junsu can forgive the rain for falling at such an inopportune moment.

Junsu smiled, “Don’t worry Yoochun, even if she doesn’t like you anymore, I still do!”

Yoochun smirked, “And if she won’t call me anymore?”

“Then I will!”

“What if she won’t care for me anymore?”

“Then I will!”

“And if she won’t marry me?”

“Then, I will! ...uh, I mean...”

Yoochun doubled over laughing again, “Oh Junsu…” He slung an arm around an embarrassed Junsu, “Come, I could use some cheering up. Tiramisu, did you say?”

And as Junsu watched Yoochun spin around in the light drizzle of spring rain with his arms wide open and face towards the clearing sky, he couldn’t help but feel that if there was anything more painful than him not telling Yoochun how he feels, it was losing this special bond between them.

others.

A/N: ...IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO END LIKE THIS! D: I told Dee this would be fluff! Junsu was supposed to confess, and Yoochun was supposed to say yes, and then they were supposed to get married at the nearest church, then fly off to their honeymoon on pink elephants! ...but it ended up like this :X Too many sad dramas for me D: But I swear Junsu's happy! Because their bond is really special! XD

This was supposed to be a drabble of about ~100 words, but my brain decided it likes to talk too much, and so somehow 500 more words popped out. :X
